The RHS Chelsea Flower Show — held each May in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in SW3 — is the world's most famous flower show. For five days, the immaculate grounds of Sir Christopher Wren's hospital are transformed into an extraordinary exhibition of garden design, horticulture, and floral art. The Great Pavilion alone covers 12,000 square metres of the finest flowers and plants in the world.

For Mayfair residents and those staying in Knightsbridge or Chelsea, the Show is almost a neighbourhood event — the Royal Hospital is barely ten minutes away by private car. The challenge is not the distance but the arrival: during Show week, the roads around Chelsea are congested, and the experience of arriving by private chauffeur — dropped precisely at the entrance on Royal Hospital Road — is considerably more refined than the alternatives.
